Nessum – New phase of HD-PLC/IEEE 1901 High Speed Powerline Communication Standard

Abstract:
Nessum Alliance endeavors to create a full-fledged universal network society with a focus on consumer electronics and business applications. In this effort, the Alliance previously promoted the HD-PLC technology for Power Line Communication (PLC) and now has extended the technology beyond PLC to wireless, and any media communication as new technology “Nessum”. This phase is ably supported by IEEE 1901 Standards and is being adopted in several projects across the world and the new standard “IEEE 1901c” that would be out soon. This webinar is being organized to bring together various stakeholders from industries, utilities and academia who look leverage wide areas of communication including high-speed PLC, wireless and undersea communication. Nessum’s case study where communication compatibility assures “safe”, “easy” and “any media” connectivity among Nessum networking devices will be presented. It will focus more particularly on the technical profiles and ecosystem using IEEE 1901.
